Eleanor Nehls

Eleanor G. Nehls (nee Grosser) age 99, beloved wife of the late Richard; loving mother of Rick (wife Maddy), Gary (wife Judith), Mary Ellen Prykan (husband John, deceased) and Kathleen Krzywicki (husband Michael); devoted grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 13; treasured sister of the late Elizabeth Graham; dear aunt and great-aunt of many; devoted friend of Lydia.

Eleanor was born August 14, 1917 and passed away on March 9, 2017. Eleanor was a resident of Cleveland Heights and a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, where she participated in the Ladies Guild. She was an elementary school teacher for the Cleveland Public School System. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and was a fan of the Cleveland Indians. She was a positive, caring and faithful person who was very social and had an Irish sense of humor.  Eleanor will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Eleanor may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Gesu Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Eleanor at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID,4600 MAYFIELD RD.(just east of Green Rd.) WEDNESDAY 5-8 PM.
