Elaine Dorothy Mezic

Elaine Dorothy Mezic, nee Grum born April 22, 1944, passed away on Thursday February 6, 2025. 

Beloved wife of the late Stan F Mezic. She is survived by her daughters Nikki Mezic and Tommy Riggle (husband), Kelly Mezic Atkinson and Robert Atkinson (husband),grand daughters, Rudee & Brynn, siblings Carole Giacomazzo, John and Iris Grum, Betty and Larry Bean and Laura Dalton and Bob. Nieces Jordan Schwartz, Halle Worley, Gianna Worley and Kaylee Grum. Nephews Preston Worley, Jason and Marie Grum and Matt Minea, several great nieces and many close friends. 

Elaine was loved by many, everyone who knew her enjoyed her good sense of humor. She was a great listener; her open ear was always a comfort to family and friends. 

She was an animal lover and advocate whose volunteer work at Rescue Village made a difference in the lives of countless dogs, cats, roosters and an assortment of rescue pigs. She was very proud of her animal advocacy work. 

Elaine loved every moment she shared with her granddaughters and 3 grand dogs. She especially enjoyed putting together puzzles with them and family vacations. 

Elaine’s time on earth is done and her heavenly adventure has just begun. She will live on in our memories, may she rest in peace. 

A Mass will be held in Elaine’s honor at St. Francis of Assisi church in Gates Mills, Ohio on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 10am. A Celebration Of Life will be held at LaVera Party Center in Willoughby Hills at 12:30pm. Family and friends are invited to attend.
