EILEEN W. THOMPSON (nee Walsh), aged 92 years, beloved wife for 67 years to the late George G., dear mother of Virginia “Ginger” Bareis (husband Karl), Teresa “Terry” Strasser (husband Joe) and Elizabeth “Betsy” Domanski (husband Ralph), loving grandmother of Eirin Bareis and Cory Strasser Silvear, cherished daughter of the late John Robert and Helen (nee Siess) Walsh, devoted sister of Joan Cauley (husband Charles) and the late Mary Helen Kelly and Virginia Braun, fond aunt and grand-aunt.

Eileen attended Sacred Heart Academy and Mercyhurst College. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge at Chagrin Valley Country Club, where she created many floral arrangements for the club’s activities. She was a seamstress, avid reader and wove over 900 baskets and wall plaques.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Gesu Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Eileen at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) on MONDAY from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
