Eileen H. Beegle

EILEEN H. BEEGLE (nee Hollis), age 83, of Stow, OH, passed away Tuesday Nov. 8, 2022. Eileen was the beloved wife for 62 years to Fred, loving mother of Kevin (Amy), Greg (Carrie), Jack, Angela (Bill Proctor) and Chris (Colleen), devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, dear sister of Fr. Mark Hollis, John (Faye) Hollis (both deceased) and Paul (deceased) (Joan) Hollis, cherished sister-in-law to Tim Beegle (Carlie) and Terry Beegle (Margie), treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Please meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at Gesu Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Following a reception, burial in All Souls Cemetery will be private. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Eileen at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) THURSDAY NOV. 17, FROM 4-7 PM.

Born to John & Bernetta Hollis, Eileen lived her adult life in University Heights. She went to Ursuline College and received a degree and teaching certificate while raising her family. She taught home economics at Erieview before starting her own company “Quilt Design Studio”. She loved to create the one-of-a-kind quilt and did so even until death. She was recognized for her countless hours in providing “sleeping bags” for the homeless and was a lifetime member of the infamous craft club.

Eileen and Fred shared the love of travel and visited too many countries to list. They were avid movie watchers and enjoyed them either at the theater or rented at home. She always found time to go to her grandchildren’s sporting events, concerts or presentations and truly loved watching them grow.

Eileen was truly devoted to her family, her faith, her relatives, and friends, and lived each day to the fullest. She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed.
