EDWARD L. PEKAREK age 70, beloved husband for 50 years of Margaret (nee Wills); loving father of Edward R. (wife Laura) and Catherine Zimmerman (husband Christopher); devoted grandfather of Maggie and Quinn; cherished son of the late Charles and Evelyn (nee Herbert); dearest brother of the late Herbert (wife Jean) and Roger (wife Betty); treasured brother-in-law of Catherine and James Perusek; dear uncle and great-uncle.
Ed was born on October 15, 1946 in Cleveland and passed away on September 11, 2017. He was a resident of Munson for 12 years, formerly of Highland Heights. Ed was a member of the Masonic Lodge Willoughby #302. He graduated from Brush High School in 1964 and attended Kent State University. Ed retired from GE in 2001 as a maintenance machinist at the Willoughby Quartz Plant. He loved boating, hunting, classic cars and was a Cleveland Browns fan. Ed will be remembered most as a kind, intelligent, hardworking, and witty man who had a dry sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 12 NOON at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following at Acacia Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ed at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) THURSDAY MORNING 11-12 Noon.
