EDWARD P. PLOTTKE age 85, beloved husband of the late Maryann (nee Laskodi); loving father of Stephen and Edward P. (wife Susan, deceased); devoted grandfather of Dustin, Jessica, Nikki and great-grandfather of Noah; cherished son of the late Philip and Anges (nee Schnelbogl). He is survived by his companion, Border Collie, Cosmo.
Edward was born on April 14, 1933 in Brooklyn, Ohio and passed away at his home in Burton on Monday February 19, 2018. He was a graduate of North Royalton High School. He lived in Burton since 1969 and previously Macedonia. Edward served in the Korean Conflict in the US Navy. He was very active in the Jailhouse Ministry of Geauga County and was a volunteer for the Collie Rescue. He worked many years as a machinist for Bird Electronics. Edward loved collecting old cars and watching NASCAR in his free time. He found great joy in spending time with his collies. Edward was known as an honest, strong-willed, self-sufficient, giving, and organized individual. He will missed by many.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Edward at THE DeJOHN Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) THURSDAY 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
