Edward Kublin

EDWARD THOMAS KUBLIN, age 89, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2021.  Beloved husband for almost 63 years to the late Evelyn (nee Cheslock); loving father of Todd (wife Roberta); cherished son of the late Thomas and Mary (Tokarsky); dearest brother-in-law of Dorothy Thomas, and brother of the late Pauline Leitner, Margaret Keiper, Thomas Kublin, and brother-in-law to Alvin (Bo) Thomas; dear uncle to many nieces, nephews, and friend to many.  U.S. Army Korean Conflict Veteran, stationed in Germany.

Edward was born in Cleveland on August 29, 1931, and passed away peacefully on July 12, 2021.  He was a resident of Euclid since 1964, where he belonged to Saint John of the Cross.  He was a Member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2300, Willoughby Hills, since 1973, the Polish Legion of American Veterans, Post 31, Euclid, and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) #1500.  Edward was a machinist with Service Stamping in Willoughby, until he retired in 1993. He was a lifetime golfer and he enjoyed the 19th hole.  He also enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn.  He was a fan of Swing, Big Band, and Polka music.  The most enjoyment in life came to Edward while spending time with his wife, Evelyn, whom he often introduced as “his bride”.  They hosted many holiday parties in their basement bar. Ed and Evelyn celebrated and danced their way into the New Year well into their 80’s at the Eagles Club. His only son Todd was the light of his life.  His family describes him as easy going and quick to laugh. He enjoyed all local sports teams, and attended his share of Indians and Browns games in his lifetime.
