Edward R. Horejs Sr.

EDWARD R. HOREJS, SR, age 90; beloved husband for 60 years of the late Rose Marie (nee Spataro); loving father of Edward R., Jr (wife Jean), twins Thomas A. (wife Karen) and Timothy J. (wife Beckie) and David J. (wife Lisa); devoted grandfather of Timothy “TJ” (deceased), Elizabeth, Michael (wife Lauren), Matthew, Maureen Dentler (husband William), Christine, Mallory, Thomas (wife Elizabeth), Kelly, Jacob, Alexander, Kevin, Lynzie and Suzie; dearest brother of the late Ralph and Catherine Russo; dear uncle and cousin of many.

Edward R. Horejs Sr. lived in Highland Heights before moving to Willoughby Hills three years ago and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Edward served in World War II in the U.S. Army Corps. He attended Fenn College and was employed at Rusco Manufacturing as an Engineer. Edward loved traveling, especially on cruise ships and enjoyed listening to Big Band music. His family would describe him as quiet, dignified and courteous; a real gentleman.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ed’s memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110. Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6850 Mayfield Road, Gates Mills, Ohio 44040. Burial following with Military Honors at Knollwood Cemetery.
