EDWARD J. COLABUNO age 95, beloved husband of the late Lena (nee Ciolfi); loving father of Francesca Shea (husband Jeff) and Theresa Wymer (husband Ray); devoted grandfather of Nicholas (wife Ann), Anthony and Tom Wymer (wife Rachel), Courtney Wenz (husband Ted), Andrea Wymer and great-grandfather of Carrie, Jack and Gabriel; cherished son of the late Angelo and Theresa (nee Costello); dearest  brother of the late,  Aida (Lust) Karako, Mary Padavick and Angelo “Kelly” Colabuno; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. WWII U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.

Edward was born on July 2, 1923 in Cleveland Heights and passed away on June 19, 2018. He was a resident of Willoughby Hills for the past five months and previously lived in Richmond Heights since 1969.  Edward was a parishioner of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church. He was a member of Collinwood Memories Club and is a proud WWII U.S. Marine Corp Veteran. Edward graduated from Collinwood High School in 1943 and furthered his education at Miami University of Ohio where he received his BSE in Education. Edward worked as an Industrial Art Teacher for St. Joseph and Willoughby South High Schools. He also coached football and wrestling. Edward closely followed sports, especially the Indians and Browns. He was an avid jogger, enjoyed gardening and loved to cook. Edward was outgoing, friendly, and very generous. He was a caring person and will be dearly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Edward to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 10AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Edward at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
