Edith Strmac

EDITH STRMAC (nee Vicich), age 75; loving mother of Christine Mittelbuscher (husband Michael) of CA and the late Michelle Strmac; devoted grandmother of Arianna, Misha and Vivian; dearest daughter of the late Anton and Anna (nee Popish) Vicich; dear sister of Robert Vicich, and the late Anton Vicich Jr., Richard Vicich and Antoinette Wagner; treasured aunt of Barb Wagner of TX, Cathy Wagner, Norb Wagner and Tony Wagner of FL; adoring niece of the late Joseph, Frank, John and Walter Popish, Stele and Robert Matulovich of CA, Dominic and Frances Capers and Edith Bishop; dear aunt, great-aunt and cousin of many.

Edith was a resident of Chardon for 2 years after moving from Columbus. She was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union (CFU #859). A graduate of East High School, she worked as a Sales Associate at JC Penney for 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, listening to classical music, polka and ballroom dancing and was a big Cleveland Browns fan. Edith will be remembered as a social, friendly, beautiful, loving and generous woman who made friends easily, was positive, optimistic, loved life and always had kind words for everyone.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, November 14, 2014 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Newbury at 11 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Edith at THE DEJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 SOUTH ST. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
