EDITH ANN McGRODER (nee Paradise), aged 91 years, beloved wife of the late James, dearest daughter of the late Anthony and Agnes (nee Leonardi) Paradise, cherished sister of Bernadine Falcone (husband Raymond) (both deceased), Teresa Marecak (deceased) (husband David), and Nicholas Paradise (deceased) (wife Antoinette), loving aunt of Patricia Vanek (husband Michael), Donna Maslar (husband John), Nicholas Paradise (wife Janet), Anthony Paradise (wife Joyce) and Michelle Elias (husband Michael), treasured grand-aunt and great-grand-aunt. Edith was a member of the St. Anthony Women’s Society of Holy Rosary Parish, and a volunteer at Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine. Contributions in memory of Edith suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110; or to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine, 21281 Chardon Rd., Euclid, OH 44117.

Edith was a resident of the Waterford in Richmond Heights for the past 10 months. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for the past 10 years. Edith was a long time resident of Villa Serena, a member of the Jolly 12 Club, St. Anthony Women’s Society of Holy Rosary Parish and a member and volunteer at Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in Euclid. She worked at Assembly Products, Lear Siegler, Bailey Meter and McDonalds in Richmond Heights. Edith’s hobbies included roller skating and bowling. She enjoyed family parties with all generations. Her family knew her as “Little Eda”, feisty, spunky, outspoken, with a big heart and big smile.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Burial following in All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Edith at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) on THURSDAY from 3:00 to 5:00 AND 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
