Dustin Lerz

DUSTIN JOSEPH LERZ, age 31; passed away suddenly February 26, 2014 at Hillcrest Hospital surrounded by his parents; beloved son of Linda (nee Gallo) and Victor; cherished brother of Ryan and Kyler; dearest grandson of the late Edward and Yolanda Gallo and Victor and Sarah Lerz; loving nephew and Godson of Rosemary and Jon Griffee and nephew of Jeff (Teresa) Gallo, Edward “Jay” Gallo, Vicki (Dave) Kennedy and Damian Lerz (Randy Davis); dear cousin and friend of many; devoted companion of Beth Henry.

Dustin was a resident of Mayfield Heights and Lyndhurst and member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church his whole life. He was a graduate of St. Francis Elementary School, Mayfield High School (class of 2001) and Ohio University (class of 2006). Passionate about music, poetry and writing short stories, Dustin loved to express himself through words. The love in his heart and sense of generosity easily connected him to all kinds of people. His family will remember him as a sensitive, loyal, loving man whose quick wit and great sense of humor often softened his no-nonsense attitude and desire to stay on task.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 3, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Entombment following in All Souls Cemetery.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Dustin at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 3-8 PM.
