Duane A. Yoest

SFC DUANE A. YOEST, RETIRED age 73, beloved father of Duane Jr. (wife Alison) and Robin Nisen (husband Michael); devoted grandfather of Nicole, John, Chase, Ashley, Michael, and Tiffany; dearest brother of Michael Helt (wife Diane); dear uncle of Matthew and Michael Helt.

Duane was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 23, 1947 and passed away on August 19, 2020. He was a resident of Mentor-on-the-Lake.
SFC Yoest served in both the US Navy and the US Army, retiring in 1995 after 26 years. He was a proud member of the VFW and the American Legion.  His hobbies included cars and motorcycles, and was a big sports fan who also enjoyed listening to country music.  He is described by his family as reserved, quiet, hard working, organized, and regimented.  He will be missed by many.

Burial will take place with Military Honors Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. All Services Private.  Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
