DOUGLAS H. FOLCKEMER age 78, beloved husband for 54 years of Jean (nee Kauffman); loving father of Jeffrey (wife Judy) and Marianne (partner Lori); devoted grandfather of Jack Douglas; cherished son of R. Harper and Eleanor (nee Corrill); dearest brother-in-law of Ron Kauffman (wife Sylvia), Dan Kauffman (wife Kathy), Mary O’Neil (husband Dan), and Charlene Smith (husband Gerry, deceased).

Douglas was born on October 10, 1937 in Springfield, Ohio and passed away on August 23, 2016. Douglas was raised in Springfield. He was a resident of Mayfield Village for 6 years, formerly of Cleveland Heights. Douglas was a member of the Ohio Deaf Golf Association and the Cleveland Association of the Deaf. He graduated from Shaw High School, and the Cleveland Art Institute. He also attended Kent State University. Douglas loved to bowl, golf and read true stories and biographies. He was a published painter and sketch artist. Douglas enjoyed traveling to many different places, studying skyscrapers and architecture. He cherished watching Browns games with his daughter. Douglas loved spending time with his grandson. He will be greatly missed.
