Dorris J. O’Connor

Dorrie (Rozelle) O’Connor, 91, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Salida Woods Assisted Living.

Born July 15, 1921, in Cleveland, she had lived in Timberlake for 55 years before moving to Mentor four years ago.

Dorrie is survived by her sons, Tim (Mary Zaccaro) of Mentor, Terry (Joanne) of Cincinnati, Dan (Terri) of Willoughby, Tom of Eastlake and Pat of Chagrin Falls; daughters, Kathy (Dennis) Pocos of Avon, Noreen (Dale) Roberts of Bradenton, Fla., Nancy (Chuck) Stoneman of Timberlake and Meg (Mike Lowe) of Chester Township; grandchildren, Brian, Shawn, Patrick, Kate, Moira, Riley and Kenzie O’Connor, Kevin and Chris Pocos, Madison, Jake and Tyler Kabay, Erin Keedy, Michelle Tinkler, Kara Bhathena, Kelly Maier, Jim and Scott Roberts and Wendy Shelby; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John M. O’Connor; daughter-in-law, Joanne; and a great-grandson.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Salida Woods for the wonderful care Dorrie received for the four years she was with them.

The family will receive friends to celebrate the life of Dorrie from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at The DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Road and Route 91).
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake 44095. Interment will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
