Dorothy Tonovitz

DOROTHY M. TONOVITZ (nee Iliano), age 81, beloved wife for 61 years of Ron; loving mother of Steven (wife Linda); devoted grandmother of Michael, Spencer and Melissa; cherished daughter of the late Giovanni and Grace (nee Fiorelli) Iliano; dearest sister of Flora Austin; treasured aunt of the Austin boys and many other nieces and nephews; dear cousin, friend and extended grandmother of many.

Dorothy was born on January 1, 1934 in Cleveland and passed away October 17, 2015 at her home in Mayfield, where she has lived for the past 53 years. She graduated from Collinwood High School in 1952 and worked as a bookkeeper.  Dorothy enjoyed sewing, cooking, dancing, slot machines and playing cards, especially poker, but got the greatest enjoyment in life from her family.  She will be remembered for her hospitality, generosity, sense of humor and giving spirit.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at St Paschal Baylon Catholic Church 5384 Wilson Mills Road, Highland Heights, at 10:30 AM. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Dorothy at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 3-5 and 6-8 PM.
