TRASK (nee Susman) age 96, beloved wife of the late Gerald E.; loving mother of Pamela Vaccariello (husband Dominic), Gregory (wife Rhonda), Gerald “Rick”, and Timothy (wife Terry); devoted grandmother of Celeste Simmen (husband Matt), Christina Trask, Natalie Taylor (husband Justin), Nicole Lehtonen (husband Christopher), Susanna House (husband Jon), Michael, Clayton, Kevin (wife Margaret), Nathan (deceased) and Jeremy Trask (wife Taylor) and Michelle Tiber (husband Adam), Joseph Daniels (wife Lisa) and the late Jason Daniels; treasured great-grandmother of Jonny Carmicheal, Vance Campbell, Alexandra and Andrew Taylor, Gianna Simmen, Jeremiah and Evelyn House, Penelope, Wesley, and Jack Trask, and Robert and John Daniels; cherished daughter of the late John and Josephine (nee Zaller) Susman; dearest sister of the late Frank (wife Katie, deceased), Jean, Mary and John Susman, Anne Morris, Josephine, Tony (wife Mary, deceased), and Charlie Susman (wife Elsie, deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many. Dorothy was born on November 2, 1923 and passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 12, 2020. She was born in Montville and was a lifelong resident of Chardon. Dorothy graduated from Thompson High School and went on to study nursing at City Hospital Nursing School in Cleveland (now Metro Hospital). Dorothy was a registered nurse at Corey Hospital, Geauga Hospital, and for the Chardon School District. She was a parishioner of the Church of St. Mary in Chardon, a devoted lifelong member of the Chardon VFW Women’s Axillary and volunteer at the Cancer Society shop. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and baking for everyone. She truly loved spending time with her family and being around people. She was a hard worker and great provider. Dorothy will be remembered most as a woman with a big heart who loved to serve everyone. She will be forever missed.
