DOROTHY J. “DOTTIE” SUYDAM (nee Leadbetter), aged 86 years, beloved wife for 60 years to the late Raymond T., dear mother of Gary (wife Bonnie), Rick (wife Judy), Douglas (fiance Carmelina) and Scott (wife Roberta), loving grandmother of Tyler, Katie, Allison (husband Joey  Betari), Brian, Steven, Taylor, Nicholas, Matthew, Ryan and Anthony, great-grandmother of Marley, cherished sister of Larry Leadbetter, Peg Willbond, Robert Leadbetter and the late Janet Berlocker. Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (Gates Mills) at 10 AM. Burial following in All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Dorothy at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 4-8 PM.

Grandma, words can’t even describe how much I am going to miss you. You were the most supportive grandma and in my 24 years you taught me so much about life. I sit here in tears just reminiscing to the days we spent together from when I was a young child till the time we spent on Christmas. You attended and supported me through my young sports career. I can’t help but to think of your passion for the Cleveland Indians and I know I won’t be able to watch an Indians game without thinking about you cheering on your favorite team. I sit here in Florida and struggle being away from family at this tough time, but you taught me to be strong and no one was stronger than you after grandpas passing. There is no one that loved a person more than you loved grandpa and I know he is up there welcoming you with the biggest hug and the biggest smile on his face. I know he is ready to have his wife with him for Valentine’s Day tomorrow. Love you so much Grandma and Rest Easy! —2-13-20 —
