Dorothy Campany

DOROTHY E. CAMPANY (nee Czupkowski) age 94, beloved wife of the late George A.; loving mother of Janet Bender (husband Jerry), George (wife Libby), Gregory (wife Brenda), Kevin (wife Heidi) and the late Joyce Campany and Kathleen Neuberger; devoted grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 6; dearest sister of Theresa  Snyder, Donald Czupkowski and the late Gabriella Wisniewski, Frances Rawa, Joanne Fornalczak, John, and Raymond Czupkowski; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Dorothy was born on January 3, 1924 in Erie, Pennsylvania and passed away on March 15, 2018. She was a resident of Chardon for 13 years, previously residing in Medina. Dorothy was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. She graduated from East High School in Erie. Dorothy was a homemaker and was an executive secretary at General Electric in Erie, PA where she met the love of her life. She was an avid reader and adored her grandchildren. Dorothy loved to babysit and loved elderly people. She will be remembered most as a kind, generous, witty, quiet and reserved woman who had a winning personality. Dorothy had a great sense of humor and was quick to compliment people. She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy to St. Mary Catholic Church School Fund 401 North St., Chardon, OH 44024.

Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 23, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Burial will take place on Saturday, March 24 at 11 AM at Calvary Cemetery, Erie, PA. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Dorothy at THE DeJOHN Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St.  (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
