Doris Guarino

Doris J. Guarino, age 89, died peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Fairmont Health Center in Willoughby, with her loving family by her side. She will be missed by many who loved her dearly. Doris was the loving mother of Marianne (Tom) Lorini of Fairlawn, Robert J. of Willoughby Hills, William R. of Willoughby Hills, Bernadette (John) Fazi of Fairview Park, Terri (Jim) Poppy of Florida and Raymond C. of Willoughby; dear grandmother of Michael A. Guarino, Adam and Anthony Poppy, Lauren and Alexa Guarino, Alexa Fazi, Sarah, Rachel and Christine Guarino; and great-grandmother of Adalee Ann Poppy.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Theresa Wagner; son, Michael R. Guarino; and brothers, Raymond and Robert Wagner of Willoughby Hills. Doris was a very gifted seamstress and interior designer. She volunteered for many organizations throughout her life, including the Veterans Hospital and Rosemary Home for Children. She enjoyed time spent with family, friends and her dogs. Doris also enjoyed entertaining, traveling, movies and pinochle.

The family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to all staff at Fairmont Health Center for the camaraderie and excellent care provided to Doris.

The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at The DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home, 28890 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills. Funeral Mass will be noon Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at St. Noel Church, 35200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills. Interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to The Kevin Coyne Funeral & Cremation Service.
