Doris K. Barstow

DORIS KAYE BARSTOW (nee Linnert) age 82, loving mother of Chris (Julie) and Steve (Sue); devoted grandmother of Adam, Logan, Ellie, C.J., Jamie, and Robert; cherished daughter of the late Raymond and Dorothy (nee Schoeffle) Linnert; dearest sister of Donna (Carl, deceased) Liedtke and the late Janice (Morley Kohn, deceased) Linnert; niece of the late Elmer (Tug) Linnert and Arthur Petrie.

Doris was born on May 2, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio and enjoyed many things the area had to offer.  She had a passion for nature and art, finding solace in the two. Doris enjoyed walks and picnics in the Cleveland Metro Parks, no matter the time of year.  She enjoyed visiting the Cleveland Botanical Garden and Cleveland Museum of Art. Love for the outdoors also included the animals that came with it. Over the years she and her family adopted and raised many animals, all which became part of the family. Doris was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and enjoyed watching or listening to the games. On July 21, 2023, this independent and strong-willed woman passed away peacefully.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Doris at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 3-5 PM.

A celebration of Life Service will immediately follow at 5 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME.
