Donna Bromley

DONNA BROMLEY (nee Tratechaud) age 84, loving mother of Ann M. Gonzales (husband Marc) and the late Joseph M. Tyranski (wife Nancy); devoted grandmother of Antonio Whitmore, Jeremy and Joseph Tryanski II, Marcos and Cristina M. Gonzales and great-grandmother of Antonio Whitmore, Ava, Andrea, Isabella, and Nikko Gonzales; cherished daughter of the late Amedee Tratechaud and Laura (nee Rantala); dearest sister of Lorna Brown and the late Lavern Tratechaud. Special thanks for the love and care of Donna goes to the Gonzales family and dear friend Julie from up north.

Donna was born in Detroit on February 19, 1933 and passed away in Lyndhurst, Ohio on August 21, 2017. She graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit and attended Macomb College. Donna was a Senior Customer Service advisor for GM when she retired in the early 90s. After retiring, Donna became a caregiver for her family, including her previous husbands.

In her younger years, Donna was a competitive swimmer, brought home many medals, in 1965 she took first place for her Zinnias. She was a horticulturalist, and member of a local flower club. She loved shooting pool and playing euchre, and enjoyed attending estate and garage sales. She listened to 80s Top 40 music in her free time, and got the most enjoyment in life from caring for her family and spending time with friends. Donna was compassionate with a heart of gold, and she loved to laugh. She was a strong willed, stubborn individual but with a great sense of humor. Donna will be dearly missed.

Family will receive friends and celebrate the life of Donna FRIDAY AUGUST 25, 1-6 PM at Chas. Verheyden Funeral Home, 28499 Schoenherr Rd. Warren, Michigan, 48088. Private burial on SATURDAY, AUGUST 26, at Maple Grove Township Cemetery in Kaleva, Michigan, where she will be laid to rest next to her parents.
