DONALD J. PISANI, age 80; beloved husband for over 50 years of Lyn (nee Shanaburg); loving father of Michelle (deceased), Thomas (wife Anita), Michael (wife Annette), John (wife Amy), and Lesa Grady (husband Michael); devoted grandfather of Danielle Moore (husband Jay), Nicole Georgitsos, Vincent Sabato, Dante, Chelsea and Alyssa Pisani, Mike (fiancé Dana Kraynack) and Zach Pisani, Nathan and Isabelle Pisani, Madison and Emily Grady; great-grandfather of Gabby, Jillian, Olivia, Greg, Sophia and Tommy; dearest brother of the late Ernest, Louis and John Pisani, Rose Del Torto, and Daisy Seaton; also survived by his best friend and faithful K-9 companion Clancy. U.S. Army Veteran.
Donald lived in Northeast Ohio for over 50 years before finding his home in Sebring, FL. He was affiliated with Holy Angels and St. Clare church and sat on the Pastoral Board and St. Clare Renewal Committee.
Donald graduated from Johnsonburg High School in Pennsylvania before attending Fenn College. After joining the Army, he worked in the automotive aftermarket industry for 45 years and finished his career as the Owner/Operator of Akron Truck Gears.
In his leisure, Donald could be found hunting or fishing. He also took much enjoyment cooking and baking for his family and grandkids which were his most cherished things in his life. On Sundays, you could find him watching football rooting for both the Browns and the Steelers. He also enjoyed listening to his favorite musician Herb Albert or watching a good Clint Eastwood movie.
Donald was a very giving and caring man to those he knew and will be remembered for his sense of humor and happy “go lucky” feel about him.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Don’s memory to the American Cancer Society. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January 10th at 10:30 am at St Clare Catholic Church, 5659 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst, OH 44124. Burial will take place privately at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Don at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) on FRIDAY, 3 – 5 pm AND 6 – 8 pm.
