DONALD L. GATTO age 74, beloved husband of the late Angie (nee Monastero); loving father of Michael and Kristin Gatto, Linda and Tim Todaro, and Gina and Dennis Gatts; devoted grandfather of Isabella, Olivia, Andrew, Ellie, Angelina, Bronson, Donny and Macy; cherished son of the late Vince J. and Mary (nee Sortino); dearest brother of Vince and Bob (wife Roseanne); treasured brother-in-law of Rose Gatto and the late Chuck Monastero (wife Evette); dear uncle, great-uncle and cousin of many.

Don was born on September 13, 1943 in Cleveland and passed away on May 8, 2018. He was a resident of Gates Mills for 21 years, formerly of Highland Heights. Don was the second-generation owner/operator of Gatto Electric, started by his father and uncle. After a lifetime of dedication and hard work Don retired in 2015. He loved boating, golf and his family. Don enjoyed spending time with his family and was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered most as a selfless, giving, generous and hardworking man. Don was strong-willed, tenacious, and driven. His favorite saying was “There is the right way, wrong way and Don’s way.” He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Don to Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine 21281 Chardon Rd., Euclid, OH 44117.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10 AM. Entombment following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Don at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) MONDAY 2-4 & 5-8 PM.
