Donald was born on June 12, 1938 and passed away on October 23, 2022 of natural causes. He was the son of the late Joseph and Helen Jaskolka (nee Piatowski). Affectionately known as Don, he grew up in Cleveland and attended Holy Name High School where he was the star basketball player and went on to be recruited by the Army Reserve. Soon after Don’s stint in the Army, he began his loyal career of twenty-six years with United States Steel. It was during this time that he met the true love of his life, Kathleen A. Roche. They spent a glorious life together in Solon, Ohio where they raised their three children; Troy, Danielle and Ryan. When Don was not busy at US Steel, you could find “Dad/Pop” at the golf course or helping his friends with wallpaper and painting, two passions he excelled at. He was a Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed listening to Dean Martin. Don was hardworking, giving, generous and a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Don’s selflessness, humor and compassion will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
