Don S. Gilbertson

DON S. GILBERTSON age 86, beloved husband for 43 years of Yuriko (nee Isobe); loving father of Mark; cherished son of the late Stanley Ormand and Virginia Maxine (nee Hatzheim) Gilbertson; dearest brother of Kay Forsmo. U.S. Army Veteran.

Don was born on January 20, 1934 in Madison, Wisconsin and passed away June 11, 2020. He received his early education in Madison, Wisconsin and later attended John Carroll University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree. Don proudly served as a Sergeant Major in the United States Army and a Federal Civilian for the Defense Finance Accounting Service. In his free time he enjoyed watching football, especially the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers, to which he was most loyal. As an avid reader, he relished a good mystery novel by James Patterson. Don was a kind, generous, quick-witted, accountable, and loving man and for that he will be dearly missed.
