DOMINIC J. “DOM” KAVELISKI II age 86, beloved husband for 60 years of Delores (nee Bryk); loving father of Dominic J., III (wife Denise); cherished son of the late Dominic J., Sr. and Mary (nee Zinkauskis); dearest brother-in-law of Judy Bryk, Lynn Bryk and preceded in death by 5 brothers-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews and especially Tara DuBois and Georgann Wywoda.
Dom was born on April 21, 1931 in Pittston, Pennsylvania and passed away on August 15, 2017. He was a resident of Chardon since 1973, formerly of New Jersey. He was an Eucharistic Minister and Chaired the Building Committee for St. Mary Catholic Church, member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Chardon, VFW Post #6519 and U.S. Air Force Veteran. Dom graduated from Pittston High School in Pennsylvania and attended Fairleigh Dickson University. The Air Force was Dom’s first career. He was an industrial engineer for Uniroyal Geauga Industries and Chardon Rubber. He loved building model air planes, gardening and was an avid Steelers fan. Dom will be remembered as a gentleman, quiet and reserved. He was very social, helpful, giving, selfless and understanding. Dom will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10 am. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Dom at the Church Saturday Morning 9-10 am. Arrangements by the DeJohn Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro).
