Diane Lynn Mccloskey (Mcmurray)

DIANE LYNN McCLOSKEY (nee McMurray) age 56, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family Wednesday June 26, 2013. Beloved wife of Frank S.; loving mother of Patrick Gutbrod (wife Laurel), Erin Lynn Meyer-Gutbrod (husband Josh) and step-mother of Stephen and Cara McCloskey; devoted grandmother of Ryan Patrick, Lily Christine and Evelynn Tess; treasured daughter of Clarence and Mary J. (nee Spotts) McMurray; cherished sister of Kenneth McMurray (wife Claudia); dearest aunt of Eric McMurray and Jennifer Bruce (husband Berl); dear sister-in-law, cousin and friend of many.

Diane was a 1974 graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and a 1979 graduate of Kent State University School of Nursing. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital for 20 years before working at the Cleveland Clinic for 12 years. A resident of Highland Heights for 1 year after moving from Euclid, Diane enjoyed snow and water skiing, golf, bowling, traveling and singing in the choir but spending time with her family is what gave her the most pleasure. Her family will remember her as a strong, independent person whose personality and good sense of humor helped her be the caring, giving and generous woman that she was.

Celebration of Life Service Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10 AM, at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). Burial following at Whitehaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Diane at the FUNERAL HOME MONDAY 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
