DIANE L. GREER (nee Kollmorgen) age 83, beloved wife for 62 years of Perry; loving mother of Julie Ford (husband Stephen Marshall), Ken (wife Karen) and Allison (deceased); devoted grandmother of Marlie Ford, Kyle Greer, Perry Ford (fiancé Hannah Anderson) and Kristi Greer; cherished daughter of the late Edwin and Rosa (Meier) Kollmorgen; dearest sister of the late June Mortensen (husband Peter); dear aunt of Karin Seymour (husband David,MD) and Kristen Hasasneh and great-aunt of Emily, Sarah, Jake, Katie, Erin and Kari.

Diane was born on July 6, 1941, in Cleveland and passed away on November 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was a 1960 graduate of The Andrews School for Girls in Willoughby and earned a bachelor's degree in education within 3 years at Ohio University earning a Summa Cum laude. She and Perry married and had their three beautiful children and settled in Highland Heights. She became an English teacher and shared her love of reading with her students in Wickliffe Schools. She was a member of Garfield United Methodist Church and was part of the Methodist Circle Group. When the children were younger, she was a member of the Millridge Elementary PTG. 

Diane was a wonderful cook and known far and wide for her skill at being a fabulous hostess. She read avidly, played scrabble and loved to talk for hours on the phone. Diane was a great bridge player and was in various bridge clubs. She was in one of her bridge clubs for over 50 years. Her travels with Perry took her to Europe, Bermuda, Alaska, Hawaii, California, Florida and other areas across the United States and especially loved New York City, She enjoyed going to our local casinos and playing slot machines. Diane was very sociable. Perry even referred to her as the "Hedda Hopper of Highland Heights". She was a selfless woman who could lift you up with her smile and positivity. Diane was always caring and giving. Above all, Diane was devoted to her faith and her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

Cremation by DeJohn crematory. Celebration of Life Service Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Private burial at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Diane at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 3-7 PM and TUESDAY MORNING from 10:30AM until the time of the service.
