David Ralph Erickson

DAVID RALPH ERICKSON, aged 72 years, resident of South Euclid, died July 26, 2011 in St. Petersburg, FL., beloved son of the late Ralph Erick and Louise Helen (nee Anderson), treasured brother of Susan Van Buskirk (Herndon, VA.), loving uncle to Duncan Erickson Van Buskirk (Arlington, VA.) and Cameron Anderson Van Buskirk (Suffolk, VA.). David, who was born in Cleveland, attended University School and Fenn College. He worked as a representative for grey and cast iron foundries, and later as a salesman for E.C. Prior & Co. He was an avid sailor and sports car collector, and participated in charitable events. He served as official race starter for the English Speaking Union’s canoe races on the Cuyahoga, and the Regatta in the Park on Shaker Lakes.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the graveside services Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 at the Mayfield Rd. Gate to Lake View Cemetery at 11 AM., which will be followed by a reception to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Dave in the Community Room of THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME, 4600 MAYFIELD RD., SOUTH EUCLID (just East of Green Rd.).
