David Mcintyre

DAVID P. McINTYRE, aged 67 years, beloved husband for 45 years to Marie (nee Reinhardt), loving father of Michelle “Shelley”, Scott (wife Linda Taylor) and Krista, devoted grandfather of Connor Dille, cherished son of the late David P. Sr. and Mae (nee Dawson), dearest brother of Ron (wife Will – deceased) and Neil (deceased) (wife Mary Anne). Dave was loved by many friends and family and by his much loved dog Harriet and cats Ozzie and Skittles. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran.

Dave was a resident of Highland Heights and a parishioner of St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church for 32 years. Dave graduated from Shaw High School and attended Tri-C. He was employed as a driver and salesperson for Ohio Garment Rental and Coyne Textile Service. He also worked in restaurant management. Dave liked to drive trucks for Coyne Textile Service, where he enjoyed talking to all the people on his route. He loved going to old car shows, working in the yard & planting flowers and fixing things around the house. Dave’s favorite music was Country. Dave got the most enjoyment in life from spending time with his grandson Connor, especially taking him to the movies, and getting together with the family for holidays. His family remembers Dave as making friends wherever he went. He was a people person, fun-loving, who loved to joke and talk to everyone. Dave did not like to stress out about things and wanted to live life and enjoy every day. He loved his yard, his home and his pets and taking care of his family and making sure they were happy was very important to him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dave suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; or to the Geauga Humane Society Rescue Village, 15463 Chillicothe Rd., Novelty, OH 44072. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Dave on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 9:45 AM until 11 AM at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD.
