David K. Debrody

DAVID K. DeBRODY, age 49. Beloved son of George and Marie (nee Sichko). Loving brother of Susann Stergios (husband J. Fred). Devoted uncle of Leah Rose, Jason Stergios and Alexis Purses (husband James). Dearest nephew of Michael and Dolly Sichko, Joseph and Kathi Sichko, Francis and Susann Sichko, Marie Sichko (husband William, deceased), Martha Mullen (husband William, deceased) and John Murphy (wife Clara, deceased). Dear cousin and friend of many.

David attended Broadmoor School, was a resident of Deepwood for 25 years and was a member of the Slovenian Lodge SNPJ #158. An avid Cleveland Browns and OSU fan, David’s love of sports carried over into the Special Olympics, where he won both gold and silver medals in swimming and track. He was also an excellent swimmer and won his first gold medal when he was just seven years old. When he wasn’t bowling or watching Superman movies, David delighted people with his sense of humor, loving disposition and a great smile that melted everyone’s heart.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 30, 2012 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church (Wickliffe) at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of David at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) THURSDAY 2-4 and 5-8 PM.
