David A. Delaat

DAVID A. DeLAAT age 64, loving father of David Eric, Martin Christopher (wife Maia), and Melissa Reine (husband David); devoted grandfather of Caia, Trevyn and Tatum; cherished son of the late Frieda (nee Vidic) and the late Donald; dearest brother of Linda Stine; dear uncle of Jamie Stine and Raychael Stine; former husband of Elle Molter.

David was born on February 12, 1954 in Cleveland and passed away on March 14, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Geauga County. David graduated from West Geauga High School in 1972 and received his Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. He was a Certified Public Accountant and the owner/operator of David A. DeLaat, CPA Inc. David loved hunting and fishing and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was also a lifelong fan of the Browns, Indians, Cavs and Buckeyes. David enjoyed music and playing guitar. He will be remembered most as an intelligent and funny man who loved his children and grandchildren dearly. David will be greatly missed.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to, and celebrate the life of, David Allen DeLaat at DeJohn Funeral Home, Saturday April 7, 12-4 PM. Celebration of Life Service to follow. Burial to be held in the coming months at All Souls Cemetery. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Arrangements by DeJohn Funeral Home & Celebrations Center of Chesterland.
