Darlene Schultz

DARLENE SCHULTZ (nee Knox) was born on August 24, 1962 to Agnes C. (nee Boehlefeld) and the late Joseph J. Knox and passed away on October 1, 2015 at age 53. She was the beloved wife of Ronald for 15 years; devoted sister of Debby Graves (husband Terry), Donna Wood (Trent Johnson), Diane Childress (husband Guy), Denise Adams (husband Chris), and Stacey Banks (husband Terry); cherished niece of James Boehlefeld; treasured daughter-in-law of Gerda Schultz and the late Alfred; dearest sister-in-law of Leonard Schultz (wife Cecilia) and Timothy Schultz (wife Cheryl); dear aunt and great-aunt of many. Survived by her canine friend, Loki.

Darlene was a resident of Willoughby for 15 years, formerly of Brunswick. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Bell Choir, a Sunday School Teacher and the Confirmation Program. Darlene graduated from Brunswick High School and Ashland University. She spent many years as a teacher with the Cleveland Diocese and Kindercare. Darlene loved to read, play computer games and collect Precious Moments. She received the most enjoyment in life teaching children both academically and in their Christian life. Her family will remember Darlene as a loving, caring, compassionate woman with a strong light around her. She loved gathering her family around her and spending holidays together. Darlene touched a lot of lives and will be missed greatly.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Darlene’s memory to Faith Lutheran Church Children’s Ministries and Scholarship Fund 8125 Mentor Avenue, Mentor, OH 44060.

Funeral Service Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church where family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Darlene 10-11 AM with a Service at 11 AM. Reception to follow the service in the Fellowship Hall. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery at 2:45 PM. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
