Daniel Sweeney

DANIEL K. SWEENEY age 55, cherished son of the late Michael V. and Eileen (nee Byrne); dearest brother of Colleen Sweeney (husband Herbert Ascherman), Patrick (wife Sallie), James, Maureen Kallos (husband David) and the late Michael J.; treasured uncle of Christopher, Robert and Melissa; dear nephew, cousin and friend of many.

Dan was born on November 30, 1961 in Euclid and passed away on June 4, 2017. He was a resident of Willowick for 10 years, formerly of Wickliffe. Dan graduated from Wickliffe High School in 1980 and was a care giver for Deepwood Foundation in Mentor. He was a member of St. Augustine Church and enjoyed listening to Christian Rock music. Dan was an outdoor man who loved fishing, golf, bowling, hiking and camping. His work to giving care to developing disabled adults was what Dan enjoyed most in his life. He will be remembered as a quiet, gentle, kind, patient, giving and humble man. Dan had a deep, strong faith and an Irish wit. He will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Noel Catholic Church 35200 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Dan at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 4-8 PM.
