Dale Garris

DALE E. GARRIS age 67, beloved husband for 29 years of Judith (nee Boyd); cherished son of the late Walter and Sara (nee Gilbert); dearest brother of Donald (wife Barbara), Betty Morvaji (husband Robert) and Anna Farinacci (husband Wayne); dearest brother-in-law of David and Anne Boyd and Jeffrey Boyd; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Navy Veteran.

Dale was born July 5, 1948 in Cleveland Ohio and passed away on February 26, 2016. He was a resident of Concord, previously residing in Hamden. Dale was a member of Mentor United Methodist Church. He was a treasurer of Club Molisani. Dale was a teacher and coach at Mentor Shore Middle School for 29 years. He enjoyed horseback riding, Bocce, golf and poker. Dale was an Indians and Ohio State football fan. He will be remembered as loving, kind, giving and always making others around him feel at ease. Dale will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service Saturday March 5, 2016 at Mentor United Methodist Church at 11 AM. Private burial will take place with Military Honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Dale at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 3-5 & 6-8 PM.
