Coletta was a lifelong Cleveland resident and proud graduate of St. Catherine Elementary School, Sacred Heart Academy and Ursuline College. Those formative years instilled in her a lasting devotion to her faith. As parishioners of St. Gregory the Great in South Euclid, Coletta and her husband of 41 years, Leo J. Hyland, looked to their faith for guidance as their raised their 12 children. Beyond family, Coletta cherished the many friendships developed over the years, be it childhood friends, high school and college club ladies, or the co-workers turned friends from her years working at John Carroll University. Coletta’s quiet intellect and humble nature were admired by family and friends alike. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Cleveland Indians and old time musical favorites Rodgers and Hammerstein. She appreciated quiet moments of solitude, like savoring cup of tea or dish of ice cream. Her kind heart and gentle soul will be truly missed by those whose lives she touched.
