CLIFFORD J. WIEGAND age 96, beloved husband of the late Bernita (Quinn) (nee Gund) and Anne S. (nee Skrabec); loving father of Clifford F. (wife Paula Postai), Richard A. (wife Laura Gallagher), Thomas V. (wife Janice), Katherine Lawrence, and Mary L. Mohr (husband David); devoted grandfather of 12, step-grandfather of 15, great-grandfather of 6, and step-great grandfather of 10; dearest brother of Fern Buescher and preceded in death by 2 sisters and 7 brothers; special uncle to Robert and David Geosano, and many other nieces and nephews. WWII U.S. Army Veteran.
Clifford was born on October 7, 1921 and passed away on March 31, 2018. He was a resident of Concord and Euclid since 1994 and a parishioner of St. Gabriel Catholic Church since 1994. Clifford was actively involved with his church and community. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and fought in the Battle of The Bulge. Clifford attended East Tech High School and proudly worked as a wire cutter in manufacturing. He greatly enjoyed fishing, playing soft ball, hard ball, and was an avid Cleveland Sports fan. Clifford’s favorite music to listen to was Nat King Cole and Glen Miller. He was kind, gentle, selfless and devoted to his family and church. Clifford will be dearly missed by all. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, April 5, 2018 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Clifford at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 3-5 & 6-8 PM.
