Ciril Skebe

CIRIL SKEBE, age 78, beloved husband for over 43 years of Rita (nee Beuck); loving father of Robert C. Skebe (wife Allyson); devoted grandfather of Leah and Anna Skebe; cherished son of the late Franc and Jozefa (nee Skufca); dearest brother of Janez, Francka Dukaric, Franc and the late Pepca, Mara Rudl and Mike; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. Survived by his feline companion, Spella.

Ciril was born July 8, 1945 in Slovenia and served as a shepherd while a young boy before immigrating to the US. His family describes him as caring and generous with a love for life. With his strong work ethic, he was a Richmond Heights Service Department worker for many years. Later, he became a machinist at Motch Merryweather. During his free time, Ciril was most likely involved in an outdoor activity, such as mountain climbing, hunting, skiing and gardening. He also enjoyed cooking and winemaking. Ciril found the greatest enjoyment during time spent with his family - especially his grandchildren - and travels to Slovenia.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at St. Mary’s - Collinwood Catholic Church, 15519 Holmes Avenue, Cleveland at 10AM. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Ciril at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY, MAY 13, 4-8 PM.
