CHRISTINE DARDIS (nee Pietro) age 97, beloved wife for 76 years of the late Joseph; loving mother of Claudia Pringle (husband Gary, deceased), Dale (deceased) (wife Sue) and Michael (wife Sally), devoted grandmother of Christine Kelly (husband Michael), Victor Pringle (wife Ann), Bryan (wife Sarah), Kimberly Carcelli (husband Bob), Tim (wife Megan), Joseph (Liz Jordan), Sarah Vigh (husband Brian), Tony (Jessica Wheeler), great-grandmother of 16, and great-great grandmother of 1; cherished daughter of the late Michael and Marianna (nee Canzana) Pietro; dearest sister of the late Ann Scalero (husband Louie, deceased), Tony Pietro (wife Antoinette, deceased), Carl Pietro (wife Tillie, deceased), and Lucy Frank (husband Richard, deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Christine was born on June 12, 1922 in Cleveland and passed away on August 17, 2019. She was a resident of Mayfield Heights for the last 3 years, Chesterland for over 50 years, and previous to that, Collinwood. Christine was a parishioner of St. Anselm Catholic Church where she belonged to Young of Hearts. She attended Collinwood High School and was a proud homemaker. Christine greatly enjoyed golf, roller skating, horseback riding, and dancing in her earlier years. She liked listening to Lawrence Welk and Frank Sinatra. Christine loved to travel, especially her trips to Italy, Las Vegas, and Florida. She was a Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed spring training. Christine’s favorite shows were Lawrence Welk and Everyone Loves Raymond. She was funny, reserved, very family oriented, faithful and devoted to her family and God. Christine will be dearly missed by all.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Anselm Catholic Church. Burial following at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Christine at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
