Chester Burrows

CHESTER J. BURROWS age 99, beloved husband for 66 years of the late Stella L. (nee Adamski); loving father of Diane Reha (husband Jack), David, Robert (wife Debbie) and the late Thomas (wife Fran); devoted grandfather of Francine (husband Scott), Renee Szekely (husband Joe), Mark Burrows (wife Karen), Allison Potter (husband John), Mary Robin Griffith, Molly Thomas (husband Brian), Christopher and Matthew Burrows and great-grandfather of 12; dearest brother of the late Dora Luetzel; dear uncle and great uncle.

Chester was born on January 11, 1918 in Toledo, Ohio and passed away on January 16, 2017. He was a resident of Jennings Center for 12 years, formerly residing in Shaker Heights and Hudson. Chester was a member of the Hungarian Men’s Club and Rotary Twinsburg. He graduated high school in Toledo and was President of Liberty Solvents and Chemicals. Chester loved fishing, golf, gardening and playing cards. He was a Cleveland Indians fan who tried to never miss watching a game. Chester was an avid reader, bee keeper and made his own honey. Florida, Arizona and New Zealand are just a few of the places Chester went in his many travels. He will be remembered as a warm, caring, loveable, compassionate and very supportive man. Chester cherished his family and was loved by all. He will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Jennings Center Chapel. Entombment following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Chester at the Jennings Center Chapel FRIDAY MORNING 9-10:30 AM.
