Cheryl Ann Burich

CHERYL ANN BURICH (nee Ebersole) age 76, beloved wife of James A. “Jim” whom she shared 37 years together; loving mother of Robert (wife Brook) Fess and Daniel (wife Jennifer) Fess; devoted grandmother of Samuel, Olivia, Reed and Elle Fess; cherished daughter of the late Horace and June (nee Hinman) Ebersole; beloved sister of Linda Babb (husband Jack, deceased) and Cindy Whittaker (husband Tom, deceased); treasured aunt and great-aunt of many; dear step-mother of Connie Burich (husband Mike Romano) and Gina Lieb.

Cheryl was born on March 19, 1946 and died peacefully on April 17, 2022.   She lived in Lyndhurst almost all of her life. Cheryl graduated from Brush High School in 1964 and later graduated from John Carroll University. She was a school teacher in the South-Euclid Lyndhurst school district for fifteen years.

Cheryl was a devoted member of Mayfield Methodist Church for over 35 years.  She actively participated in Eve Circle, Open Circle and several Bible Study groups with her church.  She was a member of the Praying Grandmas and Lyndhurst Garden Club. She also enjoyed serving on her high school reunion committee.

She loved gardening and flowers. Cheryl also found joy in cooking and baking and making chocolate covered anything! She was devoted to her faith and family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren that affectionately know her as “Grammie”.   Cheryl cared for and sat in the hospital with her son Dan, after countless surgeries.

Cheryl cherished holidays and went all out decorating for each one. She enjoyed helping others and was giving, generous, and kind.  Cheryl was steadfast in her faith and a dedicated prayer warrior. She took care of people and always stayed in contact with her friends over the many years. She loved everyone and will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life Service Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11 AM at Mayfield United Methodist Church, 7747 Mayfield Rd, Chesterland. Burial at Whitehaven Memorial Park on Friday at 10 AM (please meet at cemetery entrance). Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Cheryl at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91)  THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
