Charles Sanguedolce, aged 97, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Grace (nee Grassia), his parents, and his siblings.
Charles is survived by his devoted daughters, Marie Rechner (Steve) Vita Sanguedolce and Debbie Abele (Michael). He was a proud grandfather to Cheryl Evanchick (Tony), Stacey Mills (Corey), Tiffany Ritz (Brian), and Carissa Bhattacharya (Arka), and a great-grandfather to Kayla and Emily Evanchick, Talley, Collin, and Cardin Mills, Arianna and Brielle Ritz, and Aalia Bhattacharya. Each of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart.
A man of many passions, Charles loved to bowl, play baseball, and shoot pool. He spent many joyful winters as a snowbird in Florida, where he enjoyed the warm sun and vibrant community. A lifelong fan of Frank Sinatra, his love for music often filled his home with the sounds of classic tunes.
Charles touched the lives of all who knew him. His family will remember him for his unwavering support, warm smile, and the wisdom he shared throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
The family would like to thank the staff of Amelia Grace for all of the special care that Charles received.
He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Charles at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Tuesday morning, October 15, 2024 from 8:30am-9:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30am. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery.
