Charles Macintyre

Charles MacIntyre, was born in Cleveland, July 13, 1926 to Robert and Helen. In his childhood, Charles lived in Madison, Perry then Mentor-on-the Lake, before settling down in the Chardon area. After high school he proudly joined the United States Air Force where he served in the Korean War. Upon his Honorable Discharge he had successfully earned the rank of Airman First Class, and continued his support as a member of American Vet, VFW and The Civil Air Patrol.

Charles married the love of his life Helen in 1988, and together they traveled, enjoying camping, fishing, and photography and anything in nature was beautiful to him. Charles was a hardworking, loyal, dedicated employee and he was able to retire in 1988 from the United States Post Office.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Helen (nee Asboth); cherished brother of Robert, Donald and the late James; Thomas and Sandra Sell, with whom Charles considered to be his family; His loyal canine companion Heather; and many adoring nieces and nephews.

Tuesday, October 18th, at 12:15pm, Family and Friends will be gathering at DeJohn Funeral Home, 126 South Street, Chardon, OH 44024, to go in procession to Larned Cemetery, located at the intersection of Hermitage and Mentor Road. There will be a graveside service followed by Military Honors at 1pm.
