Charles was born on May 12, 1940, in Solon, Ohio. Growing up in the Cleveland area, he graduated from Benedictine High School before attending John Carroll University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree. Chuck’s strong work ethic and passion fueled the 30 years he devoted to Reliance Electric as an Electrical Engineer, and the 26 years he dedicated to his company, EU Compliance Services, as founder and president. His passion extended beyond his work and infiltrated his everyday life. As a former resident of Chesterland for 45 years, he was able to accomplish building a community soccer program, serve on the West Geauga Recreation Council, lead the Lake Catholic Bingo program for years, along with many more community activities that kept him busy. While living in Chesterland, he was a faithful parishioner of St. Anselm Catholic Church, served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was active in the senior center. Chuck lived an active life, coaching kids sports and watching sports, especially OSU and Notre Dame, working outdoors and gardening, listening to classical polkas, and traveling. Aside from the enjoyment of watching his business grow successfully, Chuck loved being with his family. He loved taking trips to Hilton Head for family vacations, and simply watching the grandkids play sports. After moving to be closer to family and making Galena, Ohio home for the past 3 years, Chuck passed away on February 18, 2025, in the presence of family and their love.
