age 81, beloved husband for 54 years of Gertrud (nee Weber); loving father of Jimmy (wife Lynn), Barbara Ann, and his adopted daughter Jackie Benjamin; devoted grandfather of his grandpups Eddie, Beamer and the late Bismarck; cherished son of Floyd and Vera (nee Cook); dearest brother of Robert; loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Charles was born November 18, 1936 in Maryland and passed away January 5, 2018 in Richmond Heights where he was a resident for 40 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a combat medic in France. Charles loved animals and even named the wildlife around him. In his free time, Charles enjoyed gardening, traveling and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also liked to cook, entertain, write personal cards and scrapbook for reunions. His family remembers him to be loving, kind hearted and nurturing to everyone. He will be dearly missed.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 12:30PM with military honors at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91).
