Charles E. Shiffer

CHARLES E. SHIFFER age 81, loving father of Jeffrey Hayes Shiffer and Jill Shiffer Marchese (husband James); devoted  grandfather of  Halle and Violet Marchese; beloved son of the late Charles E. Sr., DM and Marjorie (nee Crozier) Shiffer; dearest brother of Martha Boberg (husband Robert) and the late Phillip Bruce Shiffer; dear  uncle of Christine Housel  Greer (husband Trey), Erin Gillette (husband Daniel), and great-uncle of Ian Charles Gillette. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Charles to the American Heart Association, 1689 E. 115th St., Cleveland, OH, 44106.

Charles was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 20, 1938 and passed away on September 11, 2019. He graduated from Brush High School in 1956 and attended The Ohio State University. Charles was a long-time resident of Geauga, County. He was the owner and operator of Village Disposal for over 20 years. He lived in Conneaut, Ohio for the past 15 years. Charles enjoyed many outdoor activities, including golfing, fishing, hunting, boating, and bee keeping. He spent winters in Largo, Florida. Charles was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, and he also had a great love and knowledge of animals. Charles was very sociable, and he lit up a room with his outgoing personality. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
