Charles Donald Stricker

CHARLES DONALD “Don” STRICKER, Jr. age 60; beloved husband for 38 years of Diane (nee Matteo); devoted father of Jessica (Matthew Rinker) and Erin; loving grandfather of Owen Charles; cherished son of Nancy (nee Wilde) and the late Charles Donald Sr., and son-in-law of Jean and the late Frank Matteo; dearest brother of Thomas (Beth) and Susan Waldorff (Charles); dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend of many.

He was a 25 year resident of Kirtland, previously residing in Willoughby Hills and Shaker Heights. He was a graduate of Gilmour Academy in 1969 and Case Western Reserve University in 1973. Don was a devoted husband and father and especially enjoyed Christmas with his family. He worked as a chemical engineer for Lubrizol Corp. since 1980. Don enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, Cleveland sports, playing racquet sports, and built his two homes. His family describes him as being sweet, kind, honest, loyal, smart and humble.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11 AM at Divine Word Catholic Church, 8100 Eagle Road, Kirtland, 44094. Private burial at a later date.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Don at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 1-5 PM.”
