Charles “Chuckie” Zingale

Charles “Chuckie” Zingale age 54, beloved son of Charles “Charlie” (wife Susan) and Darlene Hochstetler (nee Johnson) (husband Robert deceased); dearest brother of Sherri Meador (husband Gary); devoted uncle of Courtney, Kylie and Cameron; dear nephew, cousin and friend of many. Chuckie was preceded in death by his K-9 companions Dutch and Cajun.

Chuckie was born in Cleveland on April 9, 1964 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 25, 2018. He was a resident of Willoughby for over 40 years.  Chuckie’s passion for adventure took him out West to Vail Colorado and down South to Naples Florida. He graduated from Willoughby South High School in 1982 and attended Ohio University. He was devoted to helping his father run their family restaurant. While painting houses, you may have found him listening to one of his favorite songs, Stairway to Heaven. Chuckie loved the simple things in life; especially nature. He could be found at any fishing spot, hiking some of the most beautiful trails and skiing down some insanely amazing mountains. He was a true tortured Browns fan as well. His family and friends meant the world to him. He was kind, loved his dogs and made everyone feel special. Chuckie’s gentle smile will forever stay with everyone that knew him. He will forever be missed.

Contributions may be made in memory of Chuckie to The Geauga Humane Society Rescue Village 15463 Chillicothe Rd, Novelty, OH 44072. Celebration of Life Service Tuesday October 2, 2018 at 8 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Private burial will take place at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Chuckie at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) TUESDAY 4-8 PM.
