Charles Ward Burton

Charles Ward Burton died peacefully on January 20, 2025.

Charles was born on November 26, 1936, and grew up on his family's dairy farm, Lone Ash Farm, in Patterson, New York. Some of his Fondest Memories came from those times on the farm. He was known as Ward within the small town, however once he went on to attend the University of Dayton, those he met knew him as Chuck. Chuck moved to Cleveland Heights with his first wife Marylou Mayer Burton. Chuck and Marylou had 7 children: Sue, Henry, Scott (Yvonne), Kathleen, Steven, Maureen, and Jeffery (Mary). Chuck established a career in sales with Ohio Bronze powder. During his tenure with the company, he met his current wife, Jean Kozell. They have been married for 31 years and together for 51 years. Through their union, Jean's son, Philip (Denise), became the 8th child. He was a grandfather to 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Chuck will be greatly missed by family and friends.

A private service will take place at All Souls Cemetery where Chuck will be laid to rest.
